Assumptions and disclosure
This calculator is a simplified deterministic projection. It distinguishes RRSP/LIRA-type, TFSA, non-registered, and other savings only at a simplified level.
It does not model contribution limits, unused contribution room, withdrawals before retirement, RRIF minimums, pension splitting, tax brackets, credits, OAS clawback, GIS, CPP/QPP eligibility, account fees, investment fees, rebalancing, sequence-of-returns risk, market volatility, or changing spending patterns.
Tax rates are simplified user-entered assumptions, not a full tax calculation. Non-registered tax treatment is simplified and does not distinguish interest, eligible dividends, foreign income, realized capital gains, unrealized gains, adjusted cost base, or tax-loss harvesting.
RRSP/RRIF withdrawals are simplified using a single estimated tax rate. TFSA withdrawals are treated as tax-free. CPP/QPP, OAS, and other income are treated as user-entered estimates and are not verified for eligibility.
Investment returns and inflation are assumptions, not predictions. Results are before any professional review and should not be relied on as a personalized retirement plan.
Educational information only. This tool is not financial, tax, legal, accounting, investment, retirement, estate, insurance, mortgage, or lending advice.
